Born and raised in the Greater Seattle area I spent most of my time volunteering within the community. From an early age I was extremely active, having started dance at just 18 months old. Over the years I competed and won the title of Miss Washington Teen USA 2012 and represented the State of Washington at Miss Teen USA. I then went on to attend Washington State University, where I was a D1 athlete as a member of the prestigious Crimson Girls Dance Team. (Go Cougs!).
After years of struggling with un-diagnosed pain, at the young age of 20 I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. This was a very confusing and devastating time but deep down I knew that I needed to be a warrior. Like most patients, I have experienced ups and downs throughout my medical journey. My lowest point was when I had lost all function in my left leg, but because of this my greatest achievement has been conquering how to walk again. I owe credit to Movement Systems Physical Therapy which has helped me with my long-term wellbeing, and truly believing you can overcome any obstacle.
When I’m not working as a Realtor and Design Consultant, I have devoted my spare time to inspire and advocate for those with disabilities and chronic illnesses. I will be competing for the title of Miss Washington USA 2017, and hope that with this title I can continue to share my story and inspire people to never give up on their hopes and dreams.
