Erica joined Movement Systems after working in West Seattle as a physical therapist for 22 years. As a Mercer Island resident, she is thrilled to bring her knowledge and skills in movement science and the field of physical therapy to the Mercer Island community. Among her greatest strengths are building relationships with her patients and enabling them to return to the activities that have enriched the quality of their lives.

Erica grew up in Brooklyn, New York and graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton with a Bachelor’s in Business Management in 1990 . She then attended Chicago Medical School and received her Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy in 1995 . In 2013, she received her post baccalaureate Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Evidence in Motion .

Erica’s skills are diverse, ranging from the rehabilitation of young injured athletes to the evaluation and treatment of the complex physical problems of aging seniors. Most recently, she completed Evidence in Motion’s certification program in Concussion Management . This multidisciplinary certification will allow Erica to better identify, treat, and manage the concussion patient along the entire continuum of recovery from acute to chronic and pediatric to geriatric. Concussion Management certification complements Erica’s already vast knowledge in Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy (VRT). By combining her knowledge and skills in concussion management and VRT, she is uniquely poised to evaluate and treat a wide range of injuries and conditions resulting in symptoms of vertigo, dizziness, visual disturbance, and/or imbalance.

Adding to her breadth and depth of knowledge is advanced training in Women’s Health addressing pelvic floor dysfunction, pregnancy, postpartum issues and pelvic pain. Her clinical skills continue to evolve in a direction that empowers a wide range of clients to achieve their highest level of function.

Outside of her career, Erica is actively involved in raising her two children, Spencer and Lily, and enjoys spending time with her husband, Todd. Passionate about fitness, health, and wellness, she enjoys everything that the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
