Erica Clark, PT, DPT
My Philosophy of Care
Over the course of my tenure as a physical therapist, I have taken on various roles in the physical therapy industry. These roles have been comprised of staff physical therapist, director, owner, shareholder, and mentor. In 2017 I had the honor to join Movement Systems and solely focus on patient care. My expertise is vast, ranging from working with young, injured athletes to assessing and assisting the complex physical problems of aging seniors. My clinical skills continue to evolve in a direction that empowers my patients to achieve their highest level of function. As I reflect on my treatment strategies, I realize the most important trait that I utilize is my ability to listen. Truly listening to my patients, understanding their physical and psychosocial stresses helps me develop a plan and guide my patients through a truly collaborative process of recovery.

Movement Systems produces results. Erica Clark is an Amazing Physical Therapist. She listens well. She communicates clearly. She developed a PT plan that is producing results. I had a condition that wasn't improving after months of consulting with others. My condition is improving now after only four weekly visits. Highly Recommended.

My Personal Story
I grew up in Brooklyn, New York and attended Binghamton University in upstate New York. There, I received a BS in Business Management and moved to Seattle in 1990. It was in Seattle that I realized my passion for helping others after volunteering in various physical therapy settings. Physical therapy combined my desire to help others and my physically active lifestyle. After attending PT school in Chicago, I returned to Seattle to start my career as a physical therapist. I worked my way up to directing and owning a physical therapy practice in West Seattle. While Director/Owner, I was able to combine my business education with my degree in physical therapy. I live on Mercer Island with my husband and two children and am very involved in the Mercer Island community. I enjoy running, weightlifting, playing tennis and sailing in the San Juan Islands.
I really appreciate the business model of Movement Systems PT-MI : an entire hour with the PT. I just started seeing Erica and I believe the hands on stretching I've received has really started to reduce my knee pain; I'm so pleased. In addition she's a positive cheerleader in continuing to stay active as possible.
